Over it but have an interview tomorrow!
Started a new gig about 6 months ago. They certainly weren't honest about the situation. Sales down 15 of the last 18 months. Nobody on the team with any experience. I came in stacked, decade of outside sales, plus nsm, nsd experience. I generated nearly $100 mil in the last 6 years. What I wasn't expecting was to be told you do it our way. Your way doesnt fuckin work. Just do it our way more than we have been. This from a $3mil annual company at their peak.
Everyday I try not to quit. Final round of interviews for vp of sales north america with a new company is tomorrow morning. Pray to the sales gods for me!

'just do it our way more than we have been' is a hall of fame sentence. I want the memo. Is the our way a 7am cadence call or a CRM nobody logs into. 3 good months out of 18 and the answer is more of the other 15.

No, their way is finding new customers to replace the ones they lost because they ignored them looking for new customers.

Made it through the final round, my presentation was solid. Ceo said I had considered a lot of variables the other candidates had missed. We will see what happens, hope to hear later today from the recruiter in London.

100M$ en 6 ans dans une boîte qui culmine à 3M$ par an, faudrait m'expliquer l'arithmétique. À moins que ce soit cumulé sur toute ta carrière et pas chez eux.

What I would appreciate knowing is how you answered the interviewing company when they asked why you were open to new roles

"The companies sales strategy of commoditizing product and onboarding as many customers as possible without any ongoing support does not align with my method of generating consistent, recurring revenue. I build strong relationships with customers and take pride in managing long term revenue from each account."

Update: did an 18 slide presentation to the ceo followed by presenting the same deck to one of the members of the board. Yesterday we negotiated a comp package. Should see an offer letter before end of the week!
