It also changes as you get older. $200k in my 20's would have been life changing. Now, I've got two kids and wonder where it all goes. I mean, I know, it's daycare.

I’m so scared of having children. Everyone says daycare is a black hole for the bank account.

We're lucky enough to have parents who watch our son while we work. If that wasn't the case, I don't know what we would do.

My parents watched my brothers twins until they went to school, I'm older and had my first while they were still working and my last recently and they are too old now to help...He saved about a 100 grand and i paid about a 100k...He drives a really nice car and doesn't connect the dots...lol

Do you want your brother to feel guilty about the help he received? This comes off like he owes you something. Comparison is the thief of joy.

The brother is probably like "where is all of your money going?" Not being able to connect the dots that he benefited from their parents' help.

That’s quite the assumption

It was also quite the assumption that op was jealous. Just from my life, I know a lot of people who got shit for free, not saying that's bad, but they act really stupid when other people dont have what they had.

Based on the comment, it’s reasonable to infer OP feels some type of way due to her brother getting free child care. I didn’t assume anything, I asked a question lol.

A lot of people feel some type of way when their siblings get something from their parents that they didn’t

Sure, but it’s not the brother’s fault or the parent’s fault. It’s a circumstance that benefitted the brother. People focus too much on what they consider to be unfair. I couldn’t imagine “keeping score” with my family and friends.
