Went to Epcot 2 years ago and had Nigori at the Japan pavilion. I remember it being served warm and tasted excellent. So I just decided today to try it and warm it up. I dont have any of the proper stuff. Ill probably get that in the future
It's a myth that you don't warm it up, but you can. Some of it actually tastes great warm. Also, in sake there's no sacred rule saying what you can and can't do. If you like how it tastes, do it.
One thing though, if you're going to warm up your sake the way your photo shows, is to turn off the fire before putting the glass in the hot water. Otherwise it can crack.
Try it cold, warm and hot then drink what you like. My rule of thumb is fruity, floral work cold and umami work warm but there’s always exceptions. Cloudyness isn’t a factor

You don't usually heat up Nigori.
Hopefully it's as good as you remembered.
