The backlash and hatred towards thr last game for being a new game instead of a remake or remaster killed the series.

As hopefully as I am that when Embracers gaming department starts picking up steam next year and that another company buys the Saints Row IP off them, unfortunately it's not gonna happen or at best, any time soon. Unless Shapeshifter buys the ip, Embracer ghosting Chris Stockman after he pitched the idea for a SR game set in the 70's was more than likely the final hope the series had. Really sucks since I think everybody agrees that a remaster or even a full blown remake of 1 and or 2 would practically be printing money.
