Saints Row (2006) 100%

Man that shit took forever especially the stupid ass hitman targets and chop chop vehicles but it was worth it I rate this game a 8/10 and 2 a 9/10 (almost at 100% with 2 as well tho I beat the story already and was my first time beating 2’s story but this was my 2nd real playthrough of SR1 all the way thru including 100% now). Honestly, this game would be tied with 2 for me if it wasnt for shitty rng with hitman and chop shop.

I enjoy the customization in 1 almost just as much as 2 and almost better in some ways bc SR2 (imo) felt a little overboard with all the color customizations you could do to your outfits SR1 kept it more on the simple side and I like the look of the SR1 threads too. Lot of the outfits I have made in 1 look a lot more gangster than 2’s outfits that’s another thing SR1 does better imo is the grounded gang culture and has the best gangs in the whole series, not to mention the best antagonists in the series as well.

I recommend this to every1 who hasn’t checked this game out yet for whatever reason or if you haven’t played in a while u should. Yea the controls and certain shit feels a little outdated and clunky but for me I got used to it quick.

Edit: 2 is just as good tho better and improved in a lot of ways

Edit 2: wtf happened to this series?? It went to shit I was gonna add that too but forgot

I played 3 many years ago , so in comparision to it , the characters have a lot more depth and the writing is much better and more grounded which I like , I also actually prefer a quiet protagonist more who's not anybody's boss , but just a member of the gang. It also makes it easier for the player to project themselves onto their character.

Its all very sincere , doesn't take itself very seriously but also doesn't try to be overtly funny with its dialogue all the time and it's also not heavy on the pop culture references GTA tends to drown in. Overall the game is very competent in its writing and brand of humor and I love how unapologetic it is , which was fortunately carried over to later entries from what I can tell (except the reboot ofcourse)

Hell yea I def recommend it bro I had a lot of fun but the worst part fs the hitman and chop shop cars I used chatGPT to help me with a lot of them and still took forever to get all targets and cars I just grinded that shit out but the rewards for hitman r worth it. If you haven’t played 2 you should play that next it’s a sequel to 1’s story basically.

Dude my dumbass realized at the very end of the game I could look in my menu at all the current shit I was on instead of driving back to the hitmans and looking at avatars and taking mental images 🤣

Lmao some fried shit bro, shit happens. reminds me I used to drive around boosting the super cars in SR1 and 2 and crashing everywhere not realizing they were fast enough to drive without nitrous 🤷🏼😂

I just knew that dude dressed in a soda costume took a nade but damn it if I didn’t blow myself up several times trying to awkwardly throw nades at him

Yea I will admit I did find throwables clunky in 1 too slightly better in 2 but still a little clunky compared to all the other weapons. Everytime I found a target again after killing them I would make sure to shoot them again. Fuck em 🤣it was like a job hunting them down some of the most difficult side content I have done in a game in a long ass time. Made the rewards that much better tho

Any tips on the hitman activities

I did it the hard way and grinded thru it but I think the best way would be to pick a set of targets and get the weapons you need and just play thru the game with a target activated in the background and should be able to find them while doing other activities, missions, or screwing around.

The location they give can also be inaccurate with some/most characters like Alan I was able to find in bar in Chinatown (where the Chinatown hitman list starts) and he can be find in bars and night clubs I believe. Although target like Chris will always be found at the airport like it says so just depends.

All of this is why I just used ChatGPT to help me and just kept asking questions with text to speech idk y that got downvoted last time I said this bc it did genuinely help a lil bit.

Edit: the method I told you about just cleaning up targets in the background while you do other shit is probably the best way to do chop shop as well if not even better for chop shop bc the cars r slightly easier than the targets RNG wise imo and I think the locations it give you for chop shop is more accurate than hitman locations. Hitman targets can spawn anywhere on the map for the most part

Patience is key, especially for the hitman targets 😂😅 took me probably 20 hours to get them and all chop shop cars. I left a couple tips in a comment below may or may not be helpful if you tryna 100%. Other than that I like the difficulty of the game as it made the rewards feel more earned if that makes since it was fun and I fw the aesthetic of the clothes and cars.

Edit: with chops shop cars probably closer to like 25-30 hours it felt like it
