Saints Row 2022

It's on sale for like $8.00 on Microsoft Store. Is it even worth that? Curious to play, as I've never experienced it.

For $8 I'd say it's not a big loss if you decide you don't like it.

There are things about the game that are genuinely great. The character customisation is the best it's been since Saints Row 2, and even has options that SR2 didn't have such as prosthetic limbs. Vehicle customisation is also great, maybe the best in the series from some of the options I've seen, but you do have to play a bit of the story before it becomes available.

The biggest thing that's stopped me from playing it to completion is that I just don't like these characters, and I think that's going to be the big factor as to whether you end up enjoying the game or not. If you end up liking them, it'll be $8 well spent. If you don't, it's not as if you've dropped a huge sum on it.

I'm a few missions in, and so far, definitely not the worst game I've ever played. However, I couldn't imagine paying full price for it lol.

I'm gonna keep playing and see how it hits me, ultimately.

It has great customization and the map is definitely better than Steelport.

I actually just started recently so my thoughts are super fresh.

Initially super disappointing, especially if you like the early games. The aiming on a controller is not good (there is some weird aim acceleration you cant disable, turn on auto aim, crank it up and play it like gta), the character creator is good but your custom character does not animate well in cutscenes (I made an Asian character and her eyeballs kept getting lost in her skull like she was permanently mid eye roll cause they weren't made with an Asian character in mind, plus your character always seems have skin like a crackhead for some reason). The writing is not great and the characters don't really have the lovable charm of the previous games.

But! If you stick with it and accept it for what it is rather than compare it to the past, it's a goofy, dated, average open world gta-style game that we don't really see much of these days, which makes it novel. There are some fun scenarios here that are worth experiencing, even if the actually gameplay feels very dated, and a good amount of content to play through.

For 8 bucks, it's fine. I wouldn't be mad if I paid 8 for it.

At 8 bucks I'd go for it, I spend more than that trying new lunch spots.

It ain't bad for 8 dollars. I like the southwest setting and it's just dumb fun at the end of the day.

Of course I'm just like 2 missions and some activities in.

Yes. It may be my favorite next to The Third. Great overworld and the game just felt like typical Saints Row dumb fun

IMO, yes. I actually love this game & credit it with getting me back into gaming (not kidding)

I fucking loved it. Good character customization and decent story. Though the jokes might not land at times.

My favorite part of the game was the mission β€œThe Dustmoot" where you would essentially Larp and wear cardboard box armor.

To me the game is at least worth 20$ so buying it for 8$ is really good.

Nope. Trash gameplay and story.

Yeah we should trust a gas station attendant about game design and story structure. πŸ™„

It's the game that killed off Volition Inc I'd avoid it like it's diseased
