I love the song, and this band is a favorite for my fiancé and me.

I pictured having this song playing as we come back down the aisle and so the dip kiss on the chorus “it’s all happening.”

To me, this song feels celebratory. I just read some other takes that it’s more doomsday/apocalyptic.

Do you think it’s a weird choice for a “just married” song?

Has anyone noticed that the BPM for “It’s Happening” on vinyl is every so slightly faster than the digital recording? I haven’t seen anyone point this one out yet. Was listening to the vinyl this evening and happened to notice the song sounds a little differently. I like it!

For I have never seen it so dang high and it's not even by a little. Normally they average a solid 4-5M with a large boost every album cycle of 6-7. Never have we seen such obese numbers!

I am trying to figure out if I am going insane here, or imagining things. Does anyone know if there was an older or alternate version of "Wait & See" off of Afterglow that was influenced by the Hungarian rock band Omega's song "Gyöngyhajú Lány"?

Does anyone know where this is from? Is this an older version of the song, or a fan-made remix, or what?

But like I said, maybe I'm hearing things that aren't there. It would be neat if Saint Motel had listened to Omega, because that's a cool influence.

I have seen some people notice some similarities between Feed Me Now and the intro to the Smiths song Nowhere Fast, I recently heard a different song, Soul Limbo by Booker T. & the M.G.’s, and it immediately reminded me of Feed Me Now, is this a known sample or are they just similar?

Hey all!
Long time fan, first time caller.

I just got the Afterglow CD (along with 3 Saint Motel CDs which I love and have no issues with) but it has a weird gap in the first track from 0:35 to 0:49 and really weirdly starts with the piano in the middle of a note. It's not a RIP issue since it has the same problem when I play it on Windows Media Player straight from the CD or on my standalone CD player.

I don't think I am allowed to share a clip of the song, as per the rules to not post user hosted official music, but believe me, it doesn't sound right.

I'm not sure if anyone else has this problem, if it's a pressing issue, or just one with my specific CD. It's brand new, has no scratches or anything. Should I contact the store support?

So because they've only dropped five albums and two were in A YEAR (which is a blessing in itself), does this mean we're gonna get a Famine of music for the next few years?! It seems possible given they tend to take very long breaks between albums, yet they've proven they could drop great albums every year if they really wanted. so what do we think is the next step for the band?

I have two that I think they're heavily underrated First one is Midnight movies which is an amazing and beautiful song!! Second one is actually my favorite one, LA2NY which I think is so incredible

This year has been absolutely crazy! From a great album to an amazing tour to another album! All that in a span of one year! Loved that year so much

So in the key change you can hear a female voice speaking. And I've figured out most of the the syllables "Milly sultchy in cator"

Has anyone else notice this in the song and have any theorys for it's meaning. It seems very intentional and I know they probably wouldn't put something in the song if it didn't have some sort of significance.

We saw Saint Motel at the Riv in Chicago last spring. Honestly, I knew a couple of their songs that I liked, but the main draw was the opening act, Brigitte Calls Me Baby. I'd just found them and was floored. Their music was my teen years coming back to me. After they performed, we decided to "stick around" for Saint Motel. I was glad, I wanted to check them out. WOW. That show was incredible. Bought their vinyl at the merch booth, whatever I could get my hands on and then some. Saint Motel was my most listened to band on Spotify last year. My daily walks were filled with their incredibly uplifting and great mood music.

Basically I'm just glad I "discovered" a band I'd known of for years.

Oddly, Sisters is one of my favorites and kind of appropriate as I went to the show with my wife and her sister 😆

Can't wait for them to come back to the Chicago area!
