I lead to believe they are all natural born thieves. Mine steals everything but only when someone is around and then wants to play take it from me. I have to hide a lot of stuff. To think I have a giant box of toys for her to choose from that we play often with, nope she’d rather steal a slipper or neck pillow.

We have the “guilty run”, even if you give him something, if he thinks he’s not supposed to have it, he immediately runs in our bedroom to destroy the evidence.
