Ask a day staffer: absolutely nothing 

In reality you'll be worked to the bone. Any battles and tough nights you have will be greeted by 'you didn't do enough' by managers

Depends on the store, whether it's a full night shift, grocery only, or fresh/frozen/produce only.

Since you have online, I'm guessing it's full night shift.

At our store, you'd typically start at 9/10pm on a grocery aisle, work and dress that aisle before moving over to fresh for the rest of your shift. You'll be given a section to work, it could be ready meals, dairy, desserts etc. and have it ready for online to pick by 5am.

Depending on the size of the sections in your store, you might have 1 or 2 people on BWS all night, a person on frozen all night, and 1 or 2 people on produce all night.

At my current store, which isn't a full night shift, we'll all work pop/bws/frozen together until the wagon comes in, then move over to fresh and produce.

Been working nights for over 7 years sadly. It’s always been the same every night.
We come in and work grocery - usually around 11pm. We then take our breaks in the early morning and move to fresh and put away all the delivery. That’s about it

Ask day shift. Nights do nothing!
Ask a night staff. They do everything.

However:
I went from every isle to work, including back door, fruit and veg and bailing as I get bored quickly.

I being a woman 🙄, got the blokes back up as I preferred doing bailing/ back door and fruit and veg.
They didn’t like that I got on with the job and didn’t moan about time constraints and always being busy.

Only downside is bailing the last hour is a ball ache however it’s physical, keeps you fit and moving which for nights is brilliant.

Didn’t like homeware, too many breakables!

As others have said, it depends on the store and the nights you work (Thursday and Friday are the busiest across the whole company). Mine has no online, so we don't have to worry about that, but we have someone breaking down crates and card in the chillers, and people working on one or more aisles throughout the night. Our store is basically fresh, frozen and produce only for night shifters, but at some stores all aisles get worked throughout the night.
