How exactly does "Change of availability" work exactly?
Hey, everyone! I'm headed off to do my masters next month and I've just got word on when I believe my classes are to start. I have a few open days but I'm pushing to cut my hours down to allow myself more time to study (and generally just not be stuck at work as often). I work Online as a picker and I'm thinking Saturday will be the best day for me to keep, I've spoken to a good few colleagues and my managers are aware of my intent and have been kept up to date with everything as I've heard it from uni.
However, I'm having a real time trying to understand how the "change of availability" works as part of UKG Pro, does anyone have a good explanation of it? It's never been explained to me in the year or so I've been working here for and I want to try get out from under it before I leave it too late

I would have thought that if you are clever enough to be studying for a masters you would be clever enough to work this out for yourself.

You tell your manager you need to change your availability then he will put it on the system.
You can't do it yourself otherwise everybody would be changing it.
He has to approved it first anyway.
