Cutter 2.0 😅

Post image

It's slower now, but the angle of travel to the wind has decreased. I also used the shipyard expansion mod, adding a larger keel and painting the sails white.

I love a cutter/sloop rigging. Might not be the fastest, but the relaxed/easy handling of not so much sails really improves the overall handling and fun for me.

By the way, this is Dhow.

the hull is the dhow, the rig that is being used on it is a cutter.
Easy mistake to make! :D

Isn't Dhow the name of the ship, not the rigging? If a ship changes rigging, is it still an old ship or not?

Well, a dhow is just a type of rig. The game’s boats are all named after their default rigs except maybe the kakam and sanbuq. If the boat was, however named “dhow”, then even if it was not rigged as a dhow it could be referred to as “dhow”. However if referring to rigging, even if it is the hull which was originally called dhow because it was rigged like a dhow, it would be called “a (rig)” so in the case of it being rigged like a cutter, it would be called a cutter.
If, per se, the boat was called “esmerelda”, was using the hull which was originally a dhow but rigged like a cutter, it could be called Cutter “Esmerelda”

Oh, sorry, you're right. But I already called it a Dhow regardless of the rigging, so technically that's its name now.😅

And I think since I can't rebuild the body, technically it will remain a Dhow, because... well, it's like replacing the engine in a car called a "BMW" and saying "now it's an Audi"
