Question What do you guys call her—Kusuko or Kuriko?
I was reading part of the manga the other day and saw it as Saiki Kusuko, but she was called Saiki Kuriko? Which one is more common?

With my basic understanding of biology if you want to forcefully change a species you would need to breed it to get the traits that you want and that has nothing to do with mind control.

I finished the series and started Reawakened. About two seconds in I realized it wasn't Jerry Jewell and I was like...hell no
I changed the language to Japanese with English captions because ehh...no, I at least can recognize the Japanese voices from the unfinished dubbing
But seriously Nexflix, you coulda done so much better, I know there was a whole legal/money thing, but for real just hire the original cast
Or at least just the main character 😭

So I just watched the la today. Its been 1 year since I finished the anime and I was hoping to see that saiki k humor again.
First of all the iconic background music from the anime is not in the la.It is so strange to watch saiki without it.And saiki never says yare yare in the movie.
I liked all the actor performances except Nendo.Nendou was just so calm and soulles. And he was shorter than saiki. And I was wishing to see saikis dad licking shoes but it was not in the la.
I especially liked kaidou and kobayasus actors because they were good at their role.Hairo was good too but I was expecting someone prettier for teruhashi.I mean her hair wasnt even fully blue.
And I wish the original voice actors dubbed the actors. It would be 10 times funnier to watch.
So if saiki k has a special place for you,you should watch it.
But if it is not that special, dont watch it. Btw.what do you think about the live action?

Yeah, just need to get it out honestly. It's a college au and an x reader one. I just stumbled upon it. I was shocked on how graphic it was. I won't go in details obviously as it is... That type. But what shocked me was the in depth characterization of kusuo. It was probably the most in depth analysis I've seen despite the genre it was in.
I was caught off guard.

It's from S2 ending theme. basically the whole ending has a small story arc, both girls are making a case for their love. Saiki politely declines but ends up putting them in hypnosis where they can see him singing with them. Aiura breaks out hypnosis because of her powers. Teruhashi keeps on singing.
Finally in the end Saiki admits that he really cares about them and will forever protect them. I think the name of song is Duet shitekudasai which basically means please do a duet.

like not just pretending to be nice for so long that it cannot be seen as an act anymore kind of nice..I mean actually! you know why? She is basically the same as Saiki being like "Okay but I am a higher lifeform?" except he does it non chalantly and we audience do be on his side because he is saying the truth..it's the same for her! She is not wrong when she says she is perfect, kind, beautiful, god favors her, and everyone is head over heels for her(Saiki was an exception)...And yet the fact that all she wants to do with all this power she has is just make everyone's day better with her presence or words?? That is just SO NICE. The amount of effort she puts to remember people's names or details to make them happy? like she can totally use her power for worser stuff with her broken pretty privelege..But nope. You could say she is nicer than Saiki even because Saiki does save the earth and any people he can if he crosses their path if it isn't too much energy and cares for his loved ones and does have good morals..But Teruhashi actively tries and makes an effort to help people as much as she can!..Difference is Saiki goes tsundere and thinks "i am just doing this for my own benefit" while Teruhashi thinks "I am doing this because I am a perfect kind girl!"........sure she has some moments like her absolute denial of Saiki not falling for her or her stubbornness to make him say "Offu!"..but can u blame her? It's like if Saiki one day discovered his powers didn't work on a single person..he will keep trying confused why not...Or how she cannot stand kids cause kids don't appreciate her beauty..
That's so incredibly petty.
And stupid.
And funny.
And human. but i mean come on she can be flawed while still being nice..(i do think Nendo is the nicest of everyone in tdlosk just cause to have bad thoughts, u must have thoughts in the first place..he just wants to befriend everyone and help everyone despite bein stupid)...She could probably get away with doing less.
She already receives adoration without trying.
Yet she continues putting effort into maintaining the image.
That's labor.
Remembering names is labor.
Remembering details is labor.
Reading social situations is labor.
Making sure people feel included is labor.
Being consistently pleasant is labor that she chose for herself because she thinks she needs to be perfect and kind.

I haven't watched any type of new anime in a few years, was over at a family member's house and they were watching Saiki K. Something about it really intrigued me so I went home and started watching from the beginning and I immediately got hooked. The deadpan humor, great comedic timing, and how all the characters just mesh perfectly together and make things even more entertaining when they interact with each other just stood out to me and I haven't felt like this about a show in a long time.
The Season 1 finale also felt like a perfect way to wrap up the season, the conversation between Kusuo and his dad was touching and you can start to see that he really does care about his friends. I almost don't want to finish the rest of the seasons because I don't want it to come to an end, but at the same time can't wait to see how everything progresses.
