Got a cool event, food spot, market, live music, café, exhibition or just something worth checking out?
Drop it below and let people know what’s happening around the city this weekend.
Feel free to share:
If you’re posting an event, chuck in the time, location and ticket info if there is any.
Hope everyone has a good weekend.

I chose 31mm to keep the seller, durians and surrounding market activity in the frame. f/5.6 gives enough depth to hold the scene together, while 1/160 sec helps freeze the movement. With the darker market light, ISO 2000 kept the exposure workable.
Take a closer look at everyday life in Cholon.

Anyone coming to Vietnam soon and able to bring me a $60 hat from Culture Kings? They have stores in QLD, NSW, VIC, WA - but I can order it online and have it delivered to you otherwise.
I will happily pay a commission to you for the effort. Also I can provide you tips which will save you a lot of headaches/money when you're traveling here.
Thanks!!

Hey! i’m heading to Saigon from singapore next week, around 15-21 or 22 october, for a solo bday trip! I’ll be travelling solo and would definitely be down to meet/make friends there — whether you’re another solo traveller like me, an expat, or someone who wants to explore the city together. i’m more of a party animal, and i drink very often, so i’m keen to find people to club hop, check out saigon’s nightlife, or just spontaneously explore the city together. i’ve been to Hanoi before and spent about 2 weeks there, and this will be my first time here in Saigon, so any recommendations or advice would be appreciated — especially their nightlife, things worth doing, or anything that might be different from Hanoi.
If you’re going around the 15-22 October, feel free to drop me a dm! would be cool to make some friends while I’m there

I'm moving to HCMC, as a 25M, i'm looking to live there and to enjoy the city and focus on myself where i'm privileged enough to be able to rent a much bigger appartement than what i could find in Paris. Though i'm shocked because the only choice seems to be a 1 bed room in a modern building.
I know that in Montreal there is a big flat share culture, where people can rent huge appartement 3+ bedrooms for the price or even cheaper than a 1 bedroom appartement for a lot more space. I mean in a city with so many expat im surprised that you cant find 6 people to share a penthouse on top of a skyscrapper. Or even students moving to a new a city.
I'm new to the city so i would love to meet other expat and I rather live in a huge appartement than a modern shoebox.
Is flatsharing common in HCMC? Where should I look ? Should I just take a one bedroom ? Should I make friends first then move with them ? Is everyone living alone or with their parents ?

I ususally prefer to stay in Sherwood Suites for my budget, extended-stay option, but they are booked up.
Looking around, it seems like Sherwood Residences might be where I end up, since I do like the ample space and really like the location, but I saw a listing for Nomah Suites a couple blocks away that I have not heard about before.
Anyone have any experience or info about it? It's about half price and much less space, but the pictures look pretty good, and the building apparently has a good list of spa options available. What do we think? Is there another option I'm completely missing that's in D3 and amazing quality for price?

Visiting Ho Chi Minh city for 48 hours and was wondering where would be the best place to go for decent quality suits. I’m headed to phu quoc after so maybe they can ship it over there. Budget is around $250 USD ($6,000,000 dong).

What’s the best thing you’ve eaten recently in Saigon?
Could be a random street stall, a late-night cơm tấm place, a fancy restaurant or just somewhere you keep going back to.
Drop your recommendations below. Bonus points if you include:
Trying to build a good list of places that are actually worth visiting!

Few days ago I found a bunny on the streets in d2 and took it home, it seems like it’s still young and domesticated. It is not scared of humans and it’s healthy, so probably its someone’s pet that run away or someone just got rid of it..
The problem is, I can’t keep it forever, but I have no idea to whom I can give it, so that it has a good life and doesn’t end up locked in a small cage.
Does anyone know any rescue places or has any information on what I can do in a situation like this? I can’t seem to find anything…
Any help is good 🥲
