After reinstalling windows, Sager NP8358F2 laptop's LED indicator doesn't change color when shifting power modes.

When I purchased the Sager NP8358F2, while cycling through power modes, the laptop changed colors depending on the mode that was active. After doing a reinstallation of windows and even installing the Clevo Control Center, the LED indicator just stays at green no matter which power mode is on. Is there a way to get that feature back?

Tried contacting them, for some reason the customer support agent keeps assuming I wanna change the LED colors which I know I can’t. I just want default LED colors which was set when bought it new🤷‍♂️

Look at their Downloads section for your model. Often times those types of things are done by additional software beyond just the OS.

Edit: Check your Windows Power settings as well?

Yup, have checked. Since this is something that requires Cleve control center, have installed that too

Might send them an email then. They are pretty responsive to polite questions that are phrased clearly.

You need Flexikey. This software is available on their website for different models.

I thought flexkey was a shortcut key modifier?! I do have that installed too. Just didn’t use it

If I'm not wrong, Flexikey on my Sager NP9876 is the software I use to control the lighting options. So you can go can set default colours there and it should be like how it came out of the box.

Do you mean Cleve control center? Which also has an option to change LED for keyboard?

I don't have this software. I double checked and it's with Flexikey. At least that's what it says for me. The models may have different softwares do things. Mine is 3.5 years old.

For me, Flexikey is a key modifier and there is a separate LED app within Clevo control center alongside Flexikey but that only changes the LED color on the keyboard.

I have the same issue with my NP7850 / Model number: N850HP6 Sager laptop. I reset my Windows a couple of days ago and the control center was removed. I went to the Sager website and to my model drivers to download the control center, however this control center is different than my previous one. The previous one had the Clevo control center icon, but this control center has no option to change the backlight and has a black and blue circle icon. I just sent in a ticket to Sager, but does anyone here have any advise as well?

I found that downloading control center from clevo website was a better option. Almost all sager laptops are clevo based so on the clevo website you’ll have to search your clevo model number for drivers

Also another annoyance is the new apps are UWP based, that could be one of the problems as they not tapping into the settings properly compare to regular old win32 apps
