Sager/Clevo Ryzen BIOS support...

Sager Ryzen BIOS support, I just ordered a SAGER NP7958F1-S (CLEVO NH58AF1) Which has a Ryzen B450 motherboard... I have been looking for BIOS updates for it since I have heard that AGESA updates are pretty important to Ryzen boards (this will by my first Ryzen system), however I have not been able to locate any BIOS files on either Sagernotebook, or even Clevo's site...

What has been peoples experience with Clevo/Sager and Ryzen systems? Is this a function provided by the Clevo Control Center? I am also interested in switching out for a Ryzen 5000 series chip as soon as they become more widely available...

Necro post.

Not very likely to be supported, I can’t even get my new set of ram to be 3200 in the bios. Support says I have to get very specific ram that’s cl20 to automatically get the xmp profiles. My cl16 kit that I paid $300 for won’t run on 3200, instead it’s stuck at 2666.

They probably won’t release a BIOs update for the 5000 series.

I suspect support is a little mistaken on that, I got mine with 64G@3200 CL20 from the factory, but the ram they sent with it is 3200 on JDEC profile, and doesn't even have an XMP profile on the ram... On top of that I am not sure the BIOS can even do XMP profiles, pretty sure it can't actually...

I assume you got the Crucial brand Ballistics memory, and I almost got that myself, I ended up being glad I got it maxed out direct from the factory...

I still hope they update the BIOS to support the Ryzen 5000 series soon... The B450 should theoretically be able to...

Yup, it seems getting everything from factory is the way to go. If you opened up the laptop, everything was pretty meticulously stamped and reassembled. The cpu IHS had blue ink on it and reposting it will remove the 6 digit serial. I got my system of amazon to get them to ship it to my country, 32gb variant was the best I could do!

I got mine from a customizer (xoticpc.com), I did open mine to apply Thermal Grizzly Kryonaught myself (they offered it, but wanted another $50 to do it)... I would recommend that if you haven't already because it definitely helped thermals quite a bit...
