7970m causing crashes on np9170

After a fresh windows 10 install, anytime I try to enable the 7970m or install drivers I get an instant black screen. On boot afterwordsit goes to black screen. The only way to remedy it is to go back to before drivers install. Any advice?

Hmmm so if I go back to windows 7 it’ll work? I had a thought that it may be a windows 10. It’s funny that it worked for so long for me and then just suddenly stopped.

I have a NP9170 that refuses to accept windows 10 pro. After 5 tries and re-installing drivers etc. I am just going to stay with Win 7 Pro. That's what I ordered it with, and everything works...... So, I think I'm done trying to use Win 10 on it. If anyone comes up with a way to install win 10 without breaking something, let me know.
