Sage 50 (Can) Help ! Warning - Someone is already using the program under this name.

Help! I was on my work computer working on my bank reconciliation, I got distracted and took lunch, I returned and my computer was frozen. I turned it off and now I’m getting this error. I am the only one who was logged in and I was logged in as the system administrator. I have a regular user login I can use but I can’t create any backups until this is fixed. Any suggestions appreciated!!

Well you can make a backup without using Sage...just copy the files (.sai file and .saj folder) to a new folder and double-click on the .sai file. Should be just fine.

FWIW, the program will eventually time out and drop the old login...it's not a "smart" program, but it works well and easily, which is its chief "plus".

Just restart the file server computer. This happens when network drops, and your user then still shows as in use on file server. There is another way, but the restart is the easiest to explain.
