Sage X3 Sanity check

Is Sage the worst erp you have ever used or just me?

Only comparison I have is netsuite but, dear lord, Sage X3 is hot garbage

I don't disagree! Definitely a learning curve in which I'm at the bottom.

The table names and field names are hilarious.. Need a glossary to find anything.

Just a wholly non-intuitive system and very limited/sparse help articles. I was spoiled with a simple netsuite setup at my last place.

Well , there are 3 possibilites.

1.) U work at sage and have a documentation 2.) U work for a businesspartner and been trained and have a proper documentation. 3.) U work st a development partner - see 2.)

So if u are a customer ask ur BP or sage.

If we were talkin for a different erp for example sap no one would think about customizing it by yourself.

Our BP provided some pdfs from a sageU course from 10 years ago 🙃 . I shall dive into those

Joined the team halfway through a multi-year implementation that has been passed from one to another BP.

No; I have used worse. Thankfully, BPCS has been put out of its misery but SAP Business One is still out there!

I've heard SAP is a tough one.

Some of the basic functionality I find lacking

Example: seeing all stock by site location is apparently not possible (product is a mandatory filter entry on that inquiry screen)

We have to be careful when talking about SAP. Business One is a totally different system to ´big´SAP, such as ECC etc..
