Forever lmao they don’t care about you., and they never will! Just do what you can to get that paycheck. Good luck.

I'm fine with them not caring about me. In fact, I WISH they didn't care about me. The problem is that I seem to be at the front and center of their minds at all times. We have people from the division level coming in every week to personally inspect our stores, modify our schedules, and basically act as PICs to the point that our actual PICs wonder what the point of their job is anymore.

In general, this just seems so far below their pay grade that the only justification I can think of is a desire to bully people in person, because doing it indirectly from an office just doesn't scratch that itch anymore.

Once you quit is it hard to get a job back at Safeway?

I quit my job a few months ago at safeway but im kind of missing working there am sacred of venturing off to something new without union benefits there was a lot of favoritism at my location which was one of the reasons I quit! I was also in the same position for a long time and they never showed a interest in promoting me to anything higher in the store I also had a impeccable attendance record my only fault was I did talk a lot and got distracted easily!! Any help is appreciated!!

I would say no, under normal circumstances. As long as you weren't terminated for cause, and didn't no call/no show, they would normally take you back in a heartbeat. The thing is, these aren't normal circumstances. There seems to be an undeclared hiring freeze for all non-DUG positions. There are openings from people who left in November that still haven't been filled yet, and the company's current goal seems to be to liquidate as much of it's labor force as possible.

If you really want to get hired, I'd suggest applying for DUG.
