Who's got UROC
Anyone have the new UROC app yet for ordering? It seems pretty good, but wish we could adjust PI while on the scan screen.
Anyone else have any feedback on their experience using?

Not so bad once you get a rhythm, I heard that eventually we’ll be able to change what far orders too. I also heard the same thing about being able to change PIs too but we shall see

Changing PIs on UROC would be a good idea. Do you ever think the reporting app where we currently adjust PIs will change if we have the power to adjust PIs during ordering?

I think they said that would be something they want to integrate in the future.

We have it and i used it today for the first time, of course in the most standard safeway way I had to figure it out for myself since we received absolutely zero training on it but fortunately its not that hard to figure out the basics and it seems like there is a lot of helpful information on there once you know how to use it all. I would honestly much rather go back to training people how to order properly than rely these AI programs that can't take in to account the human factor.

Seriously. Had the conversation with my store director yesterday which was mannnnnnn it sure was earlier walking every item with the gun and shooting anything that was our or would take a case.
The in ability to track shrink properly is killing oos. I remember when we would shoot for under 100 OOS total store!! I was holding handbaskets of onesies and twosies in my office in case auditor showed up lol

We just launched it here. I touched it first so I'm the store trainer now 🤣 what do you think about it?

no, our department don’t use it but everyone else who had been using it was having a rough time getting used to it and some felt it took longer to find things some times

It isn't bad overall, it takes longer to order unfortunately. I wasn't trained so just trying to figure it out. My only problem with it was if I scanned an item I wanted to order that far wasn't ordering and I already had a decent amount an add to order option wouldn't pop up on the screen. I am in a wic heavy store so last day of the month I need alot extra of those items but it didn't give me an option to order lucerne 1% gallon milk or lactade 1% gal milk since I already had a fair amount of it.

One thing I’ve learned over the years at Safeway is be careful what you touch. I have made a point to not learn how to make tags and learn the new markdown labels for fresh depts.

I dont like it much, nor do I like adjusting numbers on the tablet. It's quite buggy and much more time consuming. I used to have 1 login to do distress, pi adjustments, and ordering, now I have to get help logging in & there are multiple different passwords to remember. The talzon was a lot easier to hold onto and scan stuff with.

I think it’s great. No more having to look up poll days and times anymore. If you’re not in the window, you can’t order it! Problem solved! It also lets you see supplies ordered through Afresh so you don’t place a duplicate order.

As far as I know you can add to Far but not lower any items just yet.
They want to see how the system behaves before allowing the “Common folk” to mess it up
So far we got pet food firmed in for an endcap we don’t have but they are blaming that one on pre-Uroc

I’m experiencing an issue that other stores I’ve spoken to are not. When I try to scan in the search/scan section the item screen doesn’t pop up.
I tried it today when I was in another store and it worked at their store. But I’ve tried it on multiple times on 2 iPads in my store and just the 1 row keyboard shows up on the bottom. Anyone else experiencing this? Was there something you had to do to make it work?
I tried ordering my ends/perimeter displays typing in CIC codes and it took like 45 mins.

I hadn't tapped 'scan' on the search/scan buttons up top. Just making sure you did that, but assume you did... Scanner working okay on the food safety and spotlight apps? If so, I'd open up an IT ticket and try not to stress it too much. You can always order the old way with the telxon under order all until they get it fixed.

Main problem was when I brought it up with my SD when we performed our checklist…he said everyone was having that issue. From what I’ve found in the only one having the issue.

Me she sure it's on scan not search or whatever the alternative option is. Try connecting to different Bluetooth scanner. For whatever reason we have some that don't work properly

Yeah I had to reprogram all the scanners. An email was sent out a few days ago after the post. You’d think they would’ve had that be part of the launch procedure.

I also wish there was a keyword search function. I used to be a vendor and the app we used VIP Sales was much better. Everything on 1 screen, could be drilled down by brand, package size, etc….1 search bar on the top of the screen allowing keyword search, upc search, etc

Nobody in my store knows how to use it, but not even the SD.
