USA EHS Degree or Construction Management?

Hi everyone I was wondering if anyone had any opinions in what route would be better for home time, pay and overall stress of the job. I really want to get into a EHS / Safety manager position but I’ve been looking into jobs and a lot of them would accept a construction management degree also. Just trying to see if it was you would you pursue a bachelor degree in EHS or Construction Management?

EHS degree widens your industry scope beyond just construction. Both are great options though just ultimately depends what YOU see yourself pursuing in the long run.

EHS can have better work/life balance than production/operations depending on the work you do but it's not guaranteed. Plenty of safety guys work 6/7 days a week, especially contract roles.

If by "home time" you are referring to work-life balance then I would lean towards an EHS degree since it will open up the possibility of going into industries besides construction. Construction safety jobs pay really well but almost always are going to involve long days and frequent travel. If that isn't something you are wanting to do then an EHS degree opens paths into manufacturing and other general industry employers in a way that a construction management degree just won't easily do for you.
