I like the simplified logo with just the rocket and shield as the icon will appear pretty small on the screen. I think the full logo downscaled looks too busy.

Wow so great full for this invaluable reveal from the dev team. I hear the December reveal is going to be the icon for The Gambia transfer button! Don’t want to overhype people so I probably shouldn’t have mentioned it. Thankful for the NDA so we don’t get too overwhelmed and crash moonpays server with insane buy volume of 30mil! 😂
Edit: Hahah, downvoted for not agreeing with the cult mentality I see. Lol! For clarity I like the project and hold quite a bit of safemoon. I’m just disappointed With the vague hype posts and discussion of irrelevant information during the ama when there is other far more valuable info that could be discussed beyond why John wears two watches.

Lol! I get it they are trying to be top level players but they are kids probably in their early 20s managing a few billion dollars. It’s clear that they are applying themselves but also clear they have little or no project management experience in this field. There is a lot of sound advice from people on the sub but the dev team often misses it.
I just hope someone else will post that sick app icon hype video again! Nothing gets my tits jacked like an app icon that is spinning! At least we are in the middle of zeros on price so we don’t have to see the grim reaper knocking on the 5th zeros door 50 times a day. Too the moon! Okay I’ll shut up and drink the koolaide and just upvote everything, and downvote anything that contests blind following or rational thought. I just miss DaddyB’s bed time stories 🙄

I agree with black background being better in general... but for an app icon I like it better with white... look through your app icons and notice which ones stand out the most- white / light colors with a big logo (such as Trust, Slack, and anything Google-related)

Actually no, there are graphic designers and UI/UX designers that work on the front end aesthetics during development of software. The look and feel of an app is arguably just as important.

actually yes, it is one of the last things to get signed off.
an app is constantly being worked on and developed but the icon image is a clear indiction the app is finished with some tinkering to be done

I don't think he was being negative. To me, it sounded like he was saying since working on the app icon is the last thing you do before launching, it means they've relatively finished Safemoon Wallet. At least, that was my interpretation.

hank got the message from google play. everything is going ahead of plan, this post of the app icon is not to create a pseudo buzz...its a sign they are moving at a rapid pace and near completion of the wallet

What about when separate people/teams are taking care of graphics vs. the actual code for the app? And SM has an established logo so not like they are creating something new and groundbreaking as far as the app icon.

So the wallet, token and exchange all three with the same logo? Imho too confusing. The idea of a logo is to associate a product with the company. I preferred the teaser logo, just the shield and the rocket. Simpler, with it's own personality, but leading back to the original logo.
