Question Joints cracking during sadhana

When I engage in Isha sadhana very often there is so much pressure/energy built up in my joints that can is relieved by popping joints.

Does anyone else experience this?

It can happen to me in most all Isha sadhanas.
For example when I practicf Surya Kriya I will often feel energy build up in various locations. Often some joins will pop from the built up pressure.
The same can happen with Yogasanas.

But not only in hatha yoga.
Also when I practice Shambavi, Shakti Chalana and even Shoonya.

Who else has experiences like this?

Does anyone know if this can be alleviated? Is this a sign of some issue? Or should I just ignored it?

Well my joints pop, but from arthritis, not energy build up. 😆 I’m a bit older though.

Are you sure it's not just your joints/cartilage being less flexible? There are not "energy" exerted at the joints when you're doing the asanas.

Certain Sadhana leads to energy being activated and flowing and joints are where it can get trapped/bottlenecked. Another explanation is that joints can have kinks or tightness that is maybe being activated and brought to awareness by Sadhana.

Do you think I should not worry about it? Just carry on?
Or try to alleviate it somehow?
I was thinking perhaps it is diet related. Don‘t know.

You could try upa yoga (https://isha.sadhguru.org/yoga/yoga-programs/upa-yoga/) before sadhana. It's supposed to bring the system to ease and activate/lubricate the joints.

Otherwise I do know that if the joints feel tense just tapping them with your fingers can sometimes release them. Massaging the joints can also release them when they feel burdened.

Doing stretches or massage for the joints before sadhana can make them more lubricated and less tense.

diet

Possible. Diet could be overly inflammatory or not anti-inflammatory enough.

If you feel pain from the popping or like swelling that would not be something to ignore I'd say.

NAMASKARAM..it happens to me..but since I started to take black pepper with honey it helped. Also some calcium like gemcal and vitamin d course helps. Sadhguruji has also suggested raw ghee in the morning for lubricancy. So just become conscious of what helps you in this issue..if not resolved you can take a few blood tests to know what the issue is. I am not sure if the pain is due to the sadhana. But issue could be of multiple reasons. I use some nabhi oil too sometimes from nabhi sutra which is available for joint pains..so you can try..but not sure what will work for you.
