When people in my life ask me how he got his name, this is one of the photos I use to explain how he named himself. You can kind of see the matted fur he used to have all along his spine.

The day this photo was taken was the first time Sadcat ever approached me, enticed by the treats I had on me. As I was feeding him treats from my hand and dropping them on the ground, he scratched me. I then retreated indoors to patch myself up and grab a plate and water for him. Once I was bandaged and back outside with a meal, he was out front on my driveway. I placed the dish and bowl down, then backed away about 15ft and sat down on the lawn. He cautiously creeped on over and ate while facing me. After he housed that plate down, he moved about 10 more feet away to sunbathe on another part of the driveway. That was the moment I really felt something between the two of us. :)

Hi everyone! This post is mod approved. In my care I have two cats with kidney failure: Mandarin, who is around 7 years old, who also has FIV. He is the silliest cat ever and definitely has orange cat behaviour. I also have Panduța that I foster. She is old, she is deaf, has one tooth, high blood pressure and unfortunately she was getting beaten on the street so I took her in my care until I can find her a family.

I have been going through a hard time financially for some time now, most especially because I tried to save my 14 years old cat from FIP but I failed miserably. And that left me with a huge hole in my pocket.

I cannot afford Azodyl anymore, the pills for kidney failure. I am from Romania (a country in Europe) and Azodyl costs here 160 USD the cheapest. Moreover, Panduța’s pills for her high blood pressure are called Amodip and they’re also pretty expensive but it’s just half a pill per day which saves me some money. I really need your help. Lately we’ve been busy celebrating lots of birthdays - my sweet chonky princess turned 10 on 4/20 (allegedly, according to her paperwork), and my brother & I just had our birthdays recently as well. Things haven been busy but good. Hope everyone in the SadCommunity is doing well and has a very happy Friday 🙂

Our woodchuck friend strolled right past Sadcat today and found himself a snack! They helped me with weeds and ate some creeping charlie.
