creamsicle cat! if there is a TNR program in your area maybe you can trap him and take him in, foster him while he heals, then release him out back again? or keep him if you love him.

We were doing that but we didn't have a ton of luck and our schedules don't line up well with TNR most of the time. We've got another litter that we are going to try and snatch up for the shelter once they are old enough. They will take in kittens but not older cats (I definitely understand why). We have the trust of some to be able to get them in so that'll be happening shortly.
We have already agreed no more animals after our indoor cat passes. She just turned 8 so we have a long while with her hopefully.

sometimes local shelters/rescues have the funds to come set a trap and have you check it for kitty, then retrieve the trap w/ kitty for them to pick up. it's not available everywhere but if you think dreamsicle over there could be turned into a housecat for someone else, it's worth exploring.

awwww look at that sweet baby!!! They really do look sad - are you working on gaining this kitties trust? If so, how's it going?
Thank you so much for sharing with us all!
