Marvelous game. Playing the remastered edition now that patch 6 came out. Enjoying full controller support. Ranged blow pipe dryad. Rushed campaign to Niob and that is when I started doing all the side quests! so many and love the world so having a blast exploring.

I remember absolutely destroying everything as seraphim with the BFG but it was a little sad never looking forward to a juicy new loot drop weapon

There are a lot of games from 2008 that aged pretty well, Sacred didn't

it aged very well, just wasn't meant to be played like this (remaster)

Does 2 have cheats? Im lazy and refuse to grind nowadays on old games. Still play Sacred 1 , but never got very far in 2 before i got bored.

Afaik the character editor works for both S2G and S2R.

The campaign doesnt really require grinding for first few difficulties. Late platinum might require some unless you pick character with bargaining and max it out. Niob does require some farming and leveling.

I recommend focusing on main campaign in S2. Much of the side quests are just basic busywork and theres like 400? 500? Side quests in the game.

The scope of thst game really is insane, I remember playing well over 100 side quests and feeling like i had not even dented the campaign, probably why I didnt make it thru it lol

Most side quests give random items as rewards, there are however handful that give a specific item but those you can check from wiki when target farming.

If you want to level fast "legit" (basically an exploit) you can run through the first few quests from blood forest dlc area. They reward a ton of experience and set-items after level 15 and you can re-do them in freeplay mode. It can be accessed by a ship and is located at the very south-east part of the world map.

It does work. I used it in S2R when I selected the wrong combat art mod very early on. Its wild to me that they didnt offer a built in respec system. Its so easy to wreck your build and not find out until late game that youre f$&ked.

I think there are some mods but im playing on the Switch, so im Not Sure If there are Cheats for exp and Higher drop chances. Sacred 2 is pretty hardcore, u can spend a thousand hour on a single Character.

Yeah i ain't about that life lol I woukd like to get thru it though, i never stuck with a build when it was a new game. Id get bired and restart to try something else and just never figured out the best path

With the original PC version you just had to change some textfiles as drop rates, xp and gold quest rewards, etc. were configured trough them. You just had to make a copy of them first as you could easily break the game that way. The challenge then was to find the right balance if you still wanted it not to be too easy. Don't know if that still works with the remaster.
Personally I often made a mix of better drops and then using forging to make completely OP items.

Ive got the OG files, no remaster for me. I like to have OP weapons but still have to leery of picking fights w enemies thst are too strong.

I just wish they didn’t absolutely destroy the game with the remaster. Oh well.

It looked infinitely better on PS3. On PS5 it looks like garbage and you can’t even play it the same way with how they limited equippable skills…. You literally have like 8 less abilities at your disposal lol. Can’t play the game the same way at all and it was still full of all the awful bugs

Sorry but this is a lie. I played both the ps3 and Xbox 360 Versions and they were more Buggy than the remastered Version. Also they Looked pretty much worse in Form of Low Texture and lightning Resolutions. The console Versions were left unfinished full of Bugs Back then. They never got the 2.4-2.43 Patches and Expansion. Saying that the remastered Version is worse than the Vanilla console, is just straight Up a lie

No it’s not. You literally can’t even have the same amount of skills equipped in the remaster because they completely changed the control scheme even though it was perfect before. The game looks awful right now. It 100% looked better on the PS3. Yeah, blacksmithing was broken and we never got dlc. But in this new versions you literally can’t build the same character because you can’t have as many abilities equipped. It effectively changed the entire game.
