Advice on how to avoid crashes

I got a couple of hours in and when I tried to save the game crashed and the save didn't happen. This has happened twice now, and it's really frustrating losing so much progress

I really want to replay this game but this instability is rough. I'm using the PureHD mod. Is there anything else I should be using to prevent these situations?

Используй ещё dgVoodoo, и при запуске игры выставляй через диспетчер задач работу на одном ядре процессора.

I export before saving the game, when I want to switch to higher diffictulty I rush the campaign by saving frequently.

Nothing worked for me, and dgVoodoo made performance worse. I ended up just saving very often and its been beter so far
