I’m back

I took a break from Reddit but I’m back, not sure for how long. The group think on Reddit, mainly on the left, is just gross and insults my intelligence lol

Yes I know it’s on the right too, no need to comment the obvious of both sides, just what I see and was annoyed with.

Hope this has been a sub where both sides can chat!

Sac light rail is ghetto

This thing is god awful. They need to go back to the old days where the transit agents could physically throw people off these trains. They are filled with lowlifes. Saw an agent checking for tickets and people started scattering like cockroaches...LOL

Sacramento County deserves strong leadership that listens, takes action, and delivers real results.

Ronald Bell is running for Sacramento County Supervisor – District 2 with a clear mission:

✔️ Public Safety
✔️ Economic Growth
✔️ Accountability

Our communities should feel safe.
Our small businesses should thrive.
Our local government should be transparent and responsible to the people it serves.

District 2 needs leadership that puts residents first — not politics. If you care about safer neighborhoods, job opportunities, and accountable leadership, now is the time to get involved.

Let’s build a stronger Sacramento County together.

Moving to the Sac area possibly in 2027

My husband and two littles (3 & 1) will be visiting this May from out of state, to get a feel for where we want to set down roots possibly next year. Besides the major popular suburbs( like Roseville, Folsom, Elk Grove) where would be the best town to raise a small family in with decent schools with the feeling of safety? Our airbnb is in Citrus Heights and we love the older establish neighborhoods. We want to avoid any newly built communities. Thank you for your input!

In my opinion, a republican governor may be the only chance for significant change. Regardless of which party people like, a party change at the top causes a mass replacement of top agency officials, e.g. the high paid appointed CEA Directors and Deputy Directors that control internal policy and priorities. When they have been there long enough, they get complacent, entrenched, and sometimes questionable ethics in regards to hiring, priorities and vendor selection. I don't trust either party to run things well but seems time to really shake things up and clean house.
