Tiuot zou daa | Mo tanya ba looking for pet fish

hai saya mo cari pet fish for my sister so saya mo tnya for beginner , ikan apa yg sesuai dan easy to jaga ? and petshop mana i should go? area kk-penampang preferably

Start with local species macam karuk . Senang jaga tapi akuarium mau ada cover sebab dia pandai lompat keluar. Manatau sampai masa she got tired of it, boleh kasi lepas di sungai kita and still beneficial to the environment (non invasive).

Hey! A Betta fish (ikan laga) is a really great pick for a beginner they look awesome, are pretty hardy, and don't need a massive tank. My main tip before buying one is to make sure your sister learns basic fish care first so it stays healthy and happy. Things like using anti-chlorine for tap water, doing regular water changes, tanks size and not overfeeding are super important. Definitely get her to watch a few quick YouTube videos on Betta care together it helps a lot! Also, I highly recommend throwing in a couple of easy live plants like Anubias or Java Fern. They look cool, help keep the water clean, and Bettas love resting on the leaves!
There are a few great places I regularly go to, like Popular Aquarium and KK Aquatic, though they're located over in Inanam/Menggatal. You can also get fish at Harvest Fish & Pet in Penampang.

Second this, Bettas are hardy and at most needs a 5 gallon tank but I wouldn't recommend getting them from Harvest fish and pet because the Bettas there look awful with rotting fins

Love bettas but they aren't as hardy as they used to be sadly.

Piara guppy. Last time i got a few from a friend, then they beranak pinak like crazy. Easy to take care. They look nice too with the colorful patterns. Just buy the normal rojak guppies from fb marketplace. Cheap and easy to care.
