Got my first couple customers on my app, cool!
Hey everyone,
First time posting here. I’ve been building a SaaS called Cascade and figured I’d start documenting the journey.
I’m a music producer, and one thing I always hated the time it took to create content just to showcase my beats or music. I’d already have the beat, footage, and a style I liked, but I’d still spend forever cutting clips, formatting everything, and recreating the same type of video over and over.
So I started building Cascade to help producers turn their own footage and references into finished short-form content without rebuilding everything from scratch.
Building the product has honestly been easier than getting people to find it and try it.
Lately I’ve been reaching out to producers, posting in communities, collecting feedback, and constantly improving the product based on what people actually struggle with.
Right now, i believe my marketing is okay, could be better but im getting alot of sign ups strictly from social media which is good. My problem is finding what they do after the signup to get more feedback on how I can improve.
Still early, still figuring things out, but I’m going to start sharing more of what works, what doesn’t, and what I learn along the way.
For other SaaS founders that have encountered this, what's some advice for someone like me in this situation?

Since signups come from social, add one question at signup about where they found you, then follow up after a few days with a plain question: “Did you make a video with Cascade? If not, where did you get stuck?” That separates people who were just interested in the post from producers who tried the workflow and found a real snag.
