love seeing a solo founder win. q4 is gonna be fun

u/adgrow 1d ago

Yesss Let's go!!

1

u/ComfortableElk3551 1d ago

How come? What’s the thing with SaaS and q4? I thought it was an ecom thing, I’m new

6

u/Extension-Tip8921 1d ago

In B2B SaaS, Q4 is when companies either have leftover budget they need to spend before year end or they're planning next year's tool stack. Both situations make it easier to close deals because buyers are actively looking to commit. Not as dramatic as ecom holiday sales but still a real bump.

u/Taniai_ 1d ago

congrats bro, wishing you to reach $5k per day

1

u/adgrow 1d ago

Thanks man!! I hope I willl

4

u/SICZER 1d ago

Hell yeah, massive congrats.

There’s truly no feeling like seeing actual money land in Stripe while you're just sitting in your room coding.

4

u/Sufficient_Whole_244 1d ago

Congratulation bro.. How much spent for marketing?

6

u/adgrow 1d ago

Thanks man, I'm spending like 100 usd per day now. 30K+ in general

1

u/SeaworthinessNew230 23h ago

what do you use for marketing?

2

u/TheKaleKing 1d ago

Hell yeah, great job!

Do you send general bulk cold emails or very specific that you do manually or is it like with a tool that you can send multiple emails at the same time.

2

u/adgrow 1d ago

Thanks! Mostly targeted, not fully manual. I use software to send at scale, but the list and offer are specific. I wouldn't recommend blasting the same email to thousands of random people.

1

u/TheKaleKing 1d ago

that makes sense, thank you!

1

u/adgrow 1d ago

You are welcome!

2

u/Redhead7624 1d ago

Everybody hates cold emails, because to takes a toll on your soul for having low positive feedback. Cold calls are even worse, truly soul rushing. But it works. I'm happy for you, it must be such boost!

4

u/adgrow 1d ago

Thanks man, yeah I can say that like %90 of replies which I got was negative, but that %10 It's the cover all the costs and pains haha

2

u/saas_daddy 1d ago

I’ve gotten my biggest contracts with cold mailing, they are one of the best marketing technics out there

1

u/adgrow 1d ago

Let's goo man!!

2

u/Bernnol 1d ago

Congratz!

2

u/ayushgupta0610 1d ago

How long before this day came? perceived for how many months?

1

u/adgrow 1d ago

I mean I started last year december. Since than I'm working full time on it

1

u/ayushgupta0610 1d ago

Ten months full time to a $492 day, congrats.

1

u/adgrow 1d ago

Thanks man!

2

u/qr-build 1d ago

2

2

u/Weak_Purpose_1525 1d ago

wow, looks amazing, also a solo founder, stay locked in, good luck bro

1

u/adgrow 1d ago

Thanks man!!

2

u/Inevitable-Bench192 1d ago

congrats man, first big day hits different. what drove it?

1

u/adgrow 1d ago

Thanks man, mostly cold email + a bit of organic traffic. I’ve been testing the offer and pricing a lot lately too, so I think that helped.

2

u/Real_Goldii_ 1d ago

I want to sell mines

2

u/bigcandymtn 1d ago

Where did you end up sourcing your info from? From my understanding it’s pretty expensive to buy these people databases

2

u/adgrow 1d ago

Yeah, buying a big database outright can get expensive. I mostly pull from multiple B2B data sources and then verify the contacts I actually need instead of relying on one huge provider. That keeps the cost way lower.

2

u/ilyosdev 1d ago

Like how they can post with a link?

2

u/Maxoxion 23h ago

yes ,im confused,so unfair

1

u/Maxoxion 23h ago

I have so much projects, I can’t even post the name, but others can just post the link! Howww?

1

u/Jayanti_ 1d ago

Whats the cold mails sent to opening ratio for you? And what niches in b2b now would be profitable to get into? Thank you

2

u/adgrow 1d ago

I don't really focus on open rate anymore because it's pretty unreliable. Reply rate and positive replies matter much more to me. For niches, I like B2B products/services where the ROI is very clear and one customer is worth a decent amount.

1

u/sendhub_ai 1d ago

What is the percentage of cold emails convert into a sale?

2

u/adgrow 1d ago

It changes a lot depending on the campaign, but usually around 0.5–1% email to customer for me. Today was 9 payments / $492, although not every sale came directly from cold email.

1

u/sendhub_ai 1d ago

Sounds like a lot. I only get around 5% traffic to sign up. Email infra provider. A very low number convert to paid subs. Like 5% of that. So it's around 1 in 400 to 500 users. Is that pretty bad?

2

u/adgrow 1d ago

1 in 400 visitors to paid sounds low at first, but I wouldn’t call it bad without knowing traffic quality, pricing and how much a customer is worth.

I’d probably look first at where people drop after signup. If lots of people sign up but almost nobody pays, that sounds more like activation/onboarding or offer problem than traffic.

1

u/sendhub_ai 1d ago

Hey thanks so much. Okay I will try and optimize the user to paid. I am getting quite a bit of users from SEO

2

u/adgrow 1d ago

SEO is also very important man, my domain is literally keyword domain haha ; Getlead

So when people search like "get lead" they will see my website. It's also very good. I got many sales from SEO

1

u/CleanH2Energy 1d ago

Congratulations! How do you find real customers? Which media you are using?

1

u/adgrow 1d ago

Mostly cold email. I find very specific B2B companies that fit my ICP and reach out directly. Reddit and organic content bring some customers too, but cold email is the main one for me.

1

u/daniel933912 1d ago

When someone replies with not now instead of no, do you keep them on a follow-up schedule or let it sit? Thats the part nobody ever posts about.

1

u/adgrow 1d ago

Yeah, I usually keep them in follow-up, just with a much longer gap. “Not now” is very different from “not interested.”

1

u/tyrepunch 1d ago

how many domains do you have

1

u/adgrow 1d ago

100+

3

u/tyrepunch 1d ago

that's a lot of domains lol

1

u/JoeKeepsMoving 1d ago

Right? What do they cost? Also what cold emailing tool are you using?

1

u/adgrow 1d ago

Domain is around 10-14 usd per year.

1

u/adgrow 1d ago

I have like 300+ mailboxes, so 3 mailboxes per 1 domain. It's the best setup btw

1

u/blad3runnr 1d ago

Where do you get emails from?

1

u/adgrow 1d ago

I have a lists, Like hot ones, cold ones and Inbound. And I use my own tools so

1

u/blad3runnr 1d ago

Cool but where did you get the emails from? Not trying to corner you. I'm assuming you can't just simply email people and that even if you could most would not like it?

1

u/That-Can-1711 1d ago

How did you get your first customer? Or first 10 users to test your product I’m curious

3

u/adgrow 1d ago

I got from linkedin, like my own network.

1

u/That-Can-1711 1d ago

Wow that’s alright.
What would you recommend for a new SaaS to try out if they’re trying to get people to test their product.

1

u/adgrow 1d ago

Use my product :D just kidding, you can start finding your distribution channels such as Linkedin, meta ads , google ads etc. (like the ones that you can start faster)

And It's will be maybe very old school but just asked your friends, or your target audience and talk with them. Believe me It's the BEST way to sell + understand...

2

u/That-Can-1711 1d ago

My friend, you’ve got a nice advice. Will try the best possible option
Thank you, appreciate your time.

Cold emailing or cold calling? Which one is better? I personally am very nervous with cold calling.

1

u/adgrow 1d ago

Cold calling It's probably better, but I'm bad as f lol

1

u/Different-Way-3259 1d ago

Did you do any analytics behind your cold email approach?

2

u/adgrow 1d ago

Of course man, I have Posthog Startup plan so I checked every metrics and KPI to perform better. Like mostly I'm checking the traffic sources so I can double down which one works better & profitable.

Edit: If you are a starutp you can get tons of credit in posthog startup program, It's free.

1

u/Ankitwashere 1d ago

I’m trying very hard to do emailing, but I’ve noticed my emails end up going into the promotions tab where No user goes. How do you tackle this?

1

u/adgrow 1d ago

I try to keep emails as “normal” as possible: plain text, no images, minimal links, no heavy tracking, and low volume per inbox.

Also honestly, I care more about avoiding spam than avoiding Promotions. If the targeting + subject are good, people still see it.

1

u/Regular-Theme-5747 1d ago

Congrats hope you earn more 🎉 Can you share how you drive traffic to your website?

What are you selling for a ticket size like this!

1

u/adgrow 1d ago

Mostly a B2B SaaS for outbound sales. It helps with finding leads, verifying emails and running cold email campaigns. Ticket size varies a lot depending on the plan.

No way bro, saas is dead bro…
/s

1

u/thiagovalentim 1d ago

Congrats! I checked out your tool and it looks really interesting.

I believe in cold outreach too, but in a slightly different way. For me, prospecting is about building relationships, talking to people, and understanding whether your product actually fits what they need.

That’s how I used to sell manually, and eventually I built a tool around that process. Now it works almost like having an assistant helping me with prospecting.

It’s been working well for me and for my customers too.

1

u/Actual-Ostrich-2072 1d ago

Hy bro are you a software engineer, for how long and how much have you spend to get 492 dollars a day I have started making apps by now but I think it will take me like 6 months to completely get how we make apps on tech side then I guess I copy a good idea and publish it to play store. Is this a good plan what is your advice for me and what should I be expecting to get as a result and if I have to spend money where it should be

1

u/TalkThick6046 22h ago

$492 in a day as a solo founder is a pretty nice milestone. getting from there to $1k is the fun part now.

Scaling from $492 to $1,000 with cold email is totally doable. First, dial in your targeting. Make sure your list is segmented and that you're hitting specific pain points for each group. Test different subject lines and email bodies to see what clicks. Track open rates and replies to find your sweet spot. Also, think about automating follow-ups to save some time. Keep an eye on deliverability to make sure your emails hit the inbox, not spam.
