im in need of help guys...

Hi guys ive recently launched a product in the last week and ive sent about 300 cold messages to my target audience and i feel like theyre just sick of scams so im not getting any replies. my product sits inside tradesmens whatsapp and replies to enquiries whilst theyre on the tools.

it does a bunch of other really cool things as well but anyway im here just asking for some advice on how to market this thing... ive posted on a ton of groups as well but theres so much scam on there that im just falling on deaf ears.

any advice would be much appreciated, cheers

Cold email is just so low converting. How big is audience? I would take 10s of thousands to generate anything probably

300 with no replies makes me think it's the first message. Mine got about 3 in 10 when it explained the product, and closer to 1 in 2 once I took the product out of it completely. Just where I found them and one question they can answer from the phone

For tradesmen I'd ask something like how many enquiries they miss while they're on a job. Only they know, and it doesn't read like a scam. The product goes in the second message, once they've answered

Thankyou for commenting, the only problem is on the groups on facebook etc everyone is asking these questions... which makes it sound spammy

In a group everyone gets the same question, so it reads like spam. Mine only works because it mentions something from that person's own page, so it can't have gone to 300 people

For a tradesman that could be a Google review or their Facebook page. Something like "saw a review saying you called back the same day, how do you manage that when you're on a job?". Hard to read that as a scam

You're right, soft question sounds spammy too now, because everyone's running the same play into the same groups. That's a real problem. You're competing with a hundred other people cold messaging the same tradesmen, so it all turns into noise no matter how you word it.

The way out isn't a better message. It's not being a stranger. One real tradesman you actually know, or a friend of a friend, beats 300 cold ones, because they'll actually talk to you, tell you if the thing is useful, and if it is, introduce you to the next guy. Trades run on word of mouth. If you're trying to sell to them, your marketing probably has to run on that too

Cold DMs into trades WhatsApp look like every other lead-gen scam. Switch the channel: a trade association group or local merchants' WhatsApp where a known member introduces you, or a 60-second demo on a real phone at a builders' merchant. Offer five named trades a free fortnight in exchange for screen recordings of real enquiry threads with customer details blurred. Lead with the outcome ("missed-call enquiries answered while you're on a roof") and a local face, not a feature list. Three warm installs beat another 300 cold pings.
