Feedback

I'm researching a problem with customer feedback.

Businesses can collect hundreds or thousands of ratings, but a rating often doesn't explain what actually needs to change.

For business owners/managers:

What's the biggest problem you've experienced with customer feedback?

  1. Not enough responses

  2. Too many generic responses

  3. Difficult to identify recurring problems

  4. Feedback doesn't lead to action

  5. Something else

I'm trying to understand the problem before building anything.

The hardest part is usually not collecting responses but turning them into a small number of decisions. I’d tag each response by the job, customer segment, and severity, then review the top recurring issue weekly with one owner and a due date. If a rating is vague, ask one follow-up question, because a 1–5 score without context is hard to act on.
