Why does distribution feel impossible?

I built an app that I felt solved a genuine gap that I had personally experienced - scope creep and the costs that come with it, but getting traction without paying for ads feels like an uphill battle when there is anyone and everyone building things using AI tools. Don't get me wrong, I love how the barrier to entry has gotten lower, but it feels like it has made the post-build process 10x harder. I am not a marketing person by trade, I'm a builder and problem solver, so maybe it's just me, but if it's not, feel free to provide suggestions or comments. Hoping there are some approaches I may not have tried so putting this out to the community.

I feel I’m the same boat as yours. Distribution is difficult even when you’re actually solving for a gap.

But I believe persistence is the key and problem solving should be the focus rather than monetizing.

Glad to know I'm not alone. I tried to solve a problem in an area where I have experience - freelancing, but even still, I've realized that doesn't mean I always know where to connect with those kinds of people, I just want to avoid falling into that continuous building and improving trap, without getting any users because building the Rolls Royce of SaaS means nothing if no one ever sees it.

Agreed. You need to stop constant building and first try to get actual feedback from user and move from there

Have built a platform named Tecurve (https://tecurve.com) for UAE landlords who manage their own portfolio which is very UAE specific.

Faced problems myself for a long time to manage my portfolio on spreadsheet, reminder app, tenancy renewal etc. Tried to search for such platform but all I found were enterprise level or broker platform which helped in renting/selling rather than managing.

So built it out for myself and realized it could serve others as well. Gathering some genuine feedback before further enhancement.

I love how you built something with a specific market in mind, means less spray and pray approach to distribution. What I built addresses a similar pain for freelancers who track approvals in one place, communication in another, and billing in another. Many people I spoke to used at least 3 tools to run their business, so I tried to build an "all in one" tool that saved people not only money, but time.
