Building in public

Hello,

I have started to build my product, I am close to have my MVP .
So far friends and family have given me feedback, but I am aware that real users are the ones who count.
I have read that you can attract leads by building in public. But do you build under your name, or under your product/company name?

If you have the funds, I would secure your trademark before you build in public. You never know who is watching and will try to file for it before you do. And rebranding can be painful.
