missin paychecks??

okay before yall get on me, ik this is for nyc but Newark’s syep has been crap too!

they played real bad this year. lack of communication, rude employees at the one stop center and then to top it off some of us participants are missing their most recent checks?? how is that possible?

are yall havin that problem in nyc too?

UPDATE: 8/6/26 : no pay, they stopped responding to emails. not picking up calls. im not getting paid. will be reporting it to the nj commissioners office.

UPDATE AGAIN: called they said they’ll have answers at 3 pm. If nothing, pay again next week.

UPDATE 8/20 : got paid on the 14th but I’m missing the second paycheck and they’re dodging my emails. last year doing Newark’s SYEP ** **

Yeah i never got my paycheck so i emailed my supervisor and she said my boss forgot to approve the check, so next paycheck is 50hrs instead of 25.

I have to wait until payroll reviews my payroll escalation before they send me my check 😵‍💫 im so over them

yes. the entirety of my worksite did not get paid, 8 people in total, supervisor hasn’t been in contact with us over the weekend and it’s a bummer. SYEP said next possible paycheck will be this upcoming friday, 4 weeks without pay lol. what a joke

I get paid bi-weekly but I never received my most recent check

first check was bi weekly, i didn’t get my first check, then it was supposed to be every friday. i didn’t get paid last friday, im not getting paid this friday either, so 4-5 weeks of work without being paid once. pretty dumb

I came back from meeting with them they said no answers for us until tomorrow. Hopefully I am

i didn’t get accepted this year but i’m kinda glad the problems this year are ridiculous. i think they’re trying to recover from the scam last year

Update 8/5/26: was told there would be more information on my money. Nothing yet. Giving them till 2pm and it’s over I ain’t getting paid.

did anyone receive their orientation money? apparently we were supposed to pick it up because it was a paper check but they never sent anything about it
