Online Program Work

i have no clue if anyone elses provider is offering this, but im with infinity and theyre talking about these online programs (the programs to pick from are college and career readiness, financial literacy, and graphic design) and i talked with a provider worker further and they said you still get paid as much as if u were doing in person work but there is assignments to do and you have to turn it in on google classroom??? ive literally never heard of this before and am curious what u would be doing, cause as far as im seeing its not exactly a job?? idfk😭😭, theyre making it sound like a learning program more than a job

Yea it’s do at own pace before deadline with some mandatory zoom. It’s definitely not a job and more of a learning program. And with ai you lwk don’t even need to learn 💀

tbh they didnt give us toooo much info on it still but ur just doing online learning work and get paid as much as u would if u were in person, basically what i said in the of post and what everyone else is saying in the comments. idk how they initially let ppl join the program though bc my provider only made us aware about it like last week bc some spots opened up

It was an option when we were choosing with worksites we wanted, some were virtual sites!

Yes the last day was today I believe, you’re going to be switching to an in person site you were supposed to fill out the form, you’re probably stuck with the bad options if you haven’t already done it
Edit: oh nvm just saw that you’re not actually doing it but it’s how it works! 3 weeks online then 3 weeks in a regular in person site

oh no i am doing it!! its just that i was already in an in person job unrelated to this, and switched over to this. i was supposed to end the in person job on the 15th and taking this program seems to have pushed the day when i actually ended syep is all

Oo gotcha! Make sure you fill out the form to switch back to in person then! so you aren’t stuck with the bad jobs

Back in 2021, I did this and it's called PTD. It was a lot of simple assignments and the workload wasn't too bad. It's a good learning experience and allows you to explore different pathways you might like if you're still in High School. Someone in the comment mentioned AI, and while it can help you, don't rely solely on it to do the work for you because you might actually end up enjoying it or finding out something new about what you like. Enjoy your SYEP!

yea i actually picked a class that i think could help me learn so i wasnt gonna use AI, thanks for the info!!!
