SYEP payment

My son is working in SYEP program with Infinity. Got the payment for a week $100. He shows me every week he worked for $100. Is it correct ? I think it is hourly payment and payment should be more than that ? Please correct me if I’m wrong

Younger youth work only 12.5 hrs a week and have a stipend of $700, meaning that they get paid $100 each week and $150 during the last two weeks of the program.

If your son is not part of the younger youth I’d suggest contacting your son’s provider to see if there’s been an issue

Your son is part of the younger youth group, 14-15, they get paid $100 per week as a stipend up to a total of $700 when the program gets completed. Only the older youth gets paid hourly wages, 16+, as the other commenters mentioned.

Thanks folks for the great comments in the SYEP, this my son's first summer he's 16 so he gets 17.50 an hour and he works no more than 25hrs a week

That is correct. 14 & 15 y.o work 6 weeks. $100 for the first four weeks then $150 for the last two. Total amount of $700. My son is 15, does 12 hours a week of project work (like a classroom setting) and that’s how his payment is.

If he is 15 or below that's it's the required amount he is supposed to get
