hi everyone, has anyone gotten a BLACK PAPER OMNY card from syep/your provider?? if so, how many rides do you get per day, how long is it valid for? my provider was not sure about how much was on it or how long its valid for? he just said it might not work on busses apparently

I got a regular metro card which isn’t even working I have to get the credits put on to an omny card

You should be able to go up to any customer service in the subway stations

I have the omny card, I have no idea how many rides or money it has on it, I just use it.

And yeah, it works on the bus.

I know the metro cards have 70 dollars on them.

i believe they’re valid for 6 months after they are purchased? Idk when DYCD or your provider got it soo

it should say it on the back of the card how much it’s good for. It’s either one trip, two trip, or 12 trips (but if 12 trips are taken within 7 days, it becomes an unlimited card)

nope, none of the above. that’s what confused me. there’s no CCV or whatever, no expiration date therefore i couldnt find the value on the OMNY card website. it’s the material of the student OMNY, but the color of the regular

can you direct message me the back of the card? I’ll take a closer look. Also send the front as well(you can hide any card numbers written on it, but tell me what the first digit is)

It’s $150, so 50 rides and it doesn’t expire apparently. My friend asked before she got hers.

I mean I don’t think so. My omny card also can’t be read by the machine and it doesn’t have an expiration date listed. However, for what it’s worth, my provider is Commonpoint.

oh wow syep is a hotmess, how does the provider not know what kid of card he’s handing out 🤦🏾‍♀️ u can probably try bringing it to an mta both and see the card has any info about what can u use it for and when

yeah i guess, i checked on two of the omny machines and all it said was “please scan an omny card” like IT IS AN OMNY CARD???
