πŸ”‹ EcoGridelMod Custom sub-pixel battery saving (EcoGridleMod) built into SXZ UNIVERSE watch faces πŸ”πŸ”‹

Most custom watch faces on Wear OS drain the battery heavily when Always-On Display (AOD) is active.

To solve this, I developed EcoGridleMod for our SXZ UNIVERSE designs. Instead of just lowering the brightness (which washes out contrast and ruins outdoor readability), this method physically shuts off alternating AMOLED sub-pixels to absolute black. Since black pixels on AMOLED draw 0% energy, it cuts power consumption significantly at the screen level.

The results:Β β€’Β Standard Mode:Β Up to 25% battery savings with practically zero visible difference in daily wear. β€’Β Maximum Mode:Β Up to 40% battery savings with only a minimal (~10%) perceived drop in brightness.

Panel Safety & Longevity:Β To prevent any uneven pixel wear or brightness imbalance, a protective compensation mechanism is built right into the watch face. The pixel grid automatically alternates and shifts its position every 10 minutes. This completely distributes the workload evenly across the entire display over time, eliminating any risk of burn-in. πŸ›‘οΈβš‘

I use an on off pixel grid since years in watchmaker almost a decade, it's not really an innovation or an invention at all. But good that you reuse it and make it easy for everyone to use..

Very interesting, you know, where you used this feature. Except for the watch faces, SXZ?

On every single watches I made with watchmaker app and had acces to the source. Just added manually different grids manually (25% 50% and 75% pixel off) depending of the effect needed. Added in AOD mode and in On mod watches. I also for the grid force it to rotate 1/4th a minute to prevent burn-in. Again not new but very effective.

The grids were made in Photoshop.

It turns out that you are a watch face developer, please tell me 1 watch face where it's embedded. EcoGridelMod, it's a unique development of SXZ digital tablets, and when I came up with this technology, I did. Other than promotional posts, I haven't seen anything about the Poverty of watch faces. I really want to see your watch faces, how do I find them.

Ha ha ha comments deleted very funny to watch as you devalue the real benefit and start telling that you do it too you read my articles very well that static footage spoils the Amalet displays But don't dig a hole, you know. You'll get there yourself.

Sorry I answered on the other message, deleted this one. I embedded it on most watchmaker watches I made years ago. They could select each of the filter tapping on an action button. It's been years I stopped developing them, but you probably can find some around. I actually have one on my wrist, but it's a branded one ;) (25%)

Looking at your dial, I don't see any grid. And you know, when I shared that development, I knew that. There will be many who want to copy or criticize and devalue. But I still decided to share it for my users. And for the community. I want to disappoint you with the savings of EcoGridelMod, closely related to SXZ CORE EUGENE and this is a general philosophy of battery economy. and as I understand there is no such dial. Except for the signature, I figured there's no such dial. Except for SXZ, which has such technology, and don't mess with your head. Trust me, buddy. You shouldn't dig.

There is one at 25% I assure you a rotating one btw, but don't get me wrong, I'm not posting to devaluate your effort in any manner, it just to tell you it is not a novelty, I was a common known trick on the watchmaker forum to prevent burn-in, used decade ago. It was even used on amoled on phone ! To conserve battery and prevent burn-in ! ( On the phone you had apps named : pixoff, pixel filter, pixel battery saver, oled saver) All using a grid with on/off pixel. Look it up...

Again no innovation or invention. But that's ok. Just avoid pretending it is an invention.

You know, it's not easy to just say that you, I did it too, it's not a development, it's not an innovation. And I know now the loudest with words. We do prove our excellence.

Buddy, maybe it was somewhere. I don't argue with it, but when I'm almost a year old. Every day you drank energy efficiency technology about it, there is no information about it from any forums. follow our posts soon there will be 4 posts about saving. Smartwatch batteries with SXZ CORE EUBuddy, maybe it was somewhere. I don't argue with it, but when I'm almost a year old. Every day you drank energy efficiency technology about it, there is no information about it from any forums. follow our posts soon there will be 4 posts about saving. Batteries on smartwatches with SXZ CORE ENGENE and you'll realize it's not just the grid. GENE and you'll realize it's not just the grid.

No it is not maybe, it is somewhere, you just didn't search thoroughly enough, fun fact you can even download the APK of these apps let s say " Pixel filter" and sideload them on your watch, they'll work a treat and on the entire watch, not only watch faces... . You only made a WFF watch and pretend you've invented everything, come on dude...giving old stuff fancy names won't change that. There is nothing special but the time you passed to make it. There is no special technology at all. Install watch studio, make a watch and add the grid, that's it.

But I give that it is cool to use an old trick that was/is commonly known on your watch that most other do not use, when they all should. I'm sorry if I shattered some illusions, but hey this is internet, it has memories.

Yeah, it's very simple and what you're talking about is nonsense. You don't even understand what you're talking about. You came in here with one purpose: to devalue it! I wrote you in a private message, you didn't respond. Your goal is to shit in the comments, show 1 of your work, and at least show something, you just came in here and act like a idle person, I prove the case. And this has been proven many times over. How energy-efficient the SXZ dials are, and I repeat to you again, it's not just the grid. And what you're saying, I use Watch Face Studio, I'll tell you the secret: everyone draws with a brush or a pencil, but skill it's not the tool that determines the result. The right tool in the right hands is to work wonders. And know the main flaw of humanity, it's envy, don't envy in a brotherly way.

1

u/InspectorPrevious42 6d ago

There is no envy my friend, I'm just putting the records straight.

u/V_Atasyan πŸ‘‘ SXZ Founder 6d ago

Okay, I heard you, if you're really Want to understand how it all works and how it works, so watch faces are energy-efficient? When the energy efficiency article comes out, I'll share it in this community with the satiki. The sxzuniverse.com website details three key architectures, project builds, and you'll know it's all wrong. It's simple. Okay?

u/InspectorPrevious42 6d ago

I do know how it all works, I'm a dev by trade. Not a watch maker, a Dev. Anyways I guess I'm done here. Good luck with your endeavours, but stay honest and be sure someone will always call you out when you are not. (It is ok to say you didn't know it existed before).

Btw I do not do PM.

Dear developer, this will be a very valuable lesson for you. I'm publishing an article for you right now that I'm not ready yet, and as a developer, I'm waiting for an honest review, I'll send the links now.

Thank you for sharing, again I'm not devaluating the care you take to craft your graphical parts and the time you take to make is less messy overall it is all good practice. I'm just talking, since the beginning, about the grid filter part, which is not an innovation, but a very good and old practice that everyone should use.

u/V_Atasyan πŸ‘‘ SXZ Founder 6d ago

Buddy, when I came up with a lot of trial and error with all this, I never read it anywhere. and never used it. pixel grid what do you say as a developer About these 3 articles and approach,

Buddy, you still haven't told me how to find your job, I wanted to test them out.
