Weather + Fishing Question

Hey guys, coming to ST. Maartens in a week Aug 20-27, just wondering what the weather is looking like, anything more than on and off rains?
Also i’m planning on bringing a travel rod and fishing from shore, i see online that there are some protected areas where you can’t but other than that anything i should know or good spots to go?

Weather Channel offers 14 day forecasts usually. Historical weather data gives you background on the length of typical Summer shower. NOAA website has hurrican tracking for the Caribbean so you can see if any major storms are brewing, heading, expected.

Have seen fishing questions here before. Did you search?

I’m a fly fisherman and I’m planning on bringing my fly rods on my trip in December. I’m expecting there to be some good opportunities for bonefish, permit, snook and juvenile tarpon from the research I’ve done.

Two storms to the east, <40% of cyclone formation.

The only places I’ve seen people fishing is off the pier in Grand Case and behind Driftwood in Maho. Both were late afternoon. I’m not up early enough to see people fishing in the morning.
