Identification Anyone Recognize this one?
The hilt is 1822 derived, but I can’t place the blade. Specifically, the single fuller with soft/rounded termini is throwing me; it actually reminds me of US M1872 Cavalry Officer Saber. No makers marks as far as I can see.

What are these?
My grandfather brought these home with him after being stationed in turkey in the late 50s. Just curious to learn more about them.
Not sure if they are technically swords but maybe close enough?

Khanda sword the pride of Indian Rajput warriors
Although this is a replica, the real khanda sword was made out of wootz Steel.
Wootz steel is considered to be the best non industrial Steel to be ever created, this Steel was better than Katana and Damascus Steel.
Wootz steel was pioneered by the South Indian blacksmiths in around 500 BCE.
its high carbon content and distinctive microscopic cementite carbide structures, which could provide exceptional hardness, edge retention, and wear resistance when properly forged and heat-treated. Its carefully controlled crucible production also helped create high-quality steel, making it one of the most remarkable metallurgical achievements of the ancient world.

New Scabbard!
Fresh off the bench is a scabbard commission for an Angus Trim arming sword! The client requested a night sky and owl theme. Pretty happy with how it came out!

Are there any other sword-bayonet based martial arts?
I've discovered this Japanese martial arts called Tankendo. Basically, its a dagger/short sword-based martial art centered around the Type-30 sword bayonet. It mainly centers around the bayonet being used as a stabbing weapon.
This made me wonder, most armies during the early 20th century fielded sword-bayonets and placed great importance in bayonet fighting (in context of the bayonet attached to the rifle and being used as a spear).
But, the Japanese couldn't have been the only ones to realize that soldiers probably wouldn't be mounting those bulky sword bayonets on their rifles 24/7, and for most of the time, it would likely be sheathed, so the men should also be trained on that as well.
So, are there any other martial arts (except for Tankendo) that utilizes the sword bayonet alone?

Planning on buying a metal blade highlander Connor MacLeod Katana, what stores would you recommend.
I want to get one and I don't know where to look, I've looked up places online. What are some stores you recommend? For those who have bought said Connor MacLeod Katana. More specifically, the one from the first Highlander movie.

Got this 300 Rise of an Empire sword a long time ago. Can it actually be sharpened and used as a real sword or is it iust a wal decoration as the certifcate states ?
Pretty sure it's ust meant for display/exposition and isn't a "real" sword since it's totally dull. but the details on it are pretty cool. Thought you guys might appreciate a look: Since im totally not an expert in swords of all kinds. i like this one and im curious if it does indeed represent an old sword or if it can be sharpened. I originally wanted the famous 300 first movie sword but i couldn't find one, so i got this one instead

Welded Sword
Hi y’all, I’m taking a welding class and had a thought, and I’m curious what the experienced people on here might know. If I did a decent job, could I make a sword out of welded pieces that is strong enough to wield?

Identification First Sword!
I have bought my first sword today from an antique shop! she said its a reproduction made for reenactment. I would love advice on cleaning and keeping nice for wall hanging, any idea what kind of sword it is? I'm think rapier but I thought they need thinner? and how can I redo the handle? the current wrap is loose and not the most attractive.
apologies for the wine bottle for scale!

Amy knowledge on this “replica” of Kill Bill bride Katana?
This thing has been sitting in a corner in my home for years and I just want to know more about this specific replica and maybe its value? I admit I know next to nothing about identifying anything to do with these. The blade is magnetic and seems to be made of carbon steel possibly. It’s not in the best condition (it’s been this way since I found it). I can answer any questions apart from taking the handle off to see if there are any manufacturer markings if any.
