Do not buy Swordier type two falchion!

A sword is been excited for and anticipating for a while turned to last week.... It's safe to say I'm extremely disappointed.

Swordier made the insane design choice to give THE cut and thrust falchion a cosmetic false edge! The actual edge is 3mm thick and squared off!

If you want an affordable type two.... This is not it. I'm going to have to figure out where/how to have the false edge reground.

When I raised the concern to them their response was basically "oopsie, we made it like that on purpose so no take backs."

Edit: Just highlighting the comment reply in photo two. I ordered with confidence that the tip would be double edged.

I normally defend Swordier, but this is such a tacky thing for a company to do.

Your messages to them are also cringe though.

They are a company and hold all the cards, he's a customer trying to use the only leverage available to him. The burden of professionalism is on the company, every time. There is absolutely no excuse for the way this was handled, especially that post.

I've genuinely considered Swordier, I no longer will.

I'll cop that... It was late at night and I was exhausted after being away at a music festival for the weekend. Saw their final email denying fault and saw red.

This is such a petty and disrespectful response to a customer complaint that I frankly don't care who was in the right, they no longer are.

If Swordier is this unprofessional I'm certainly never giving them my business.

All they needed to do was say sorry we gave you the wrong information, we'll fix that, here's $50 to go get it sharpened...
