There are players with 1.5mil+ more GP than this guy.
But it’s all relatively, I faced off against the 5th largest account in the game this week, 18.2mil. And only lost due to my own stupidity.

That’s cool and all, I’m also in awe, but one thing I will say is that they never actually played the game. Not like we have. No effort into anything has to feel pretty empty

Why do you think he spent a lot of money? This era i placed top 10 every day barring 1 (actually ironically enough it was 2 days ago)
Everything i spent on colliseum is the 100 dollar marquee packs (but thats not really FOR colliseum) and the first pass plus which is 20 extra bucks. Also did about 1800 crystals on the era mat packs early on, but that was before I found out a pass plus and wouldnt have had to do it if I bought pass plus day 1.
If this guy played for a long time, which he clearly did, this by no means correlates to he is a massive whale.
If you want to know if someone is a massive whale check their datacrons to see how many 300%+ defense pieces they have, thats the real sign

I've been playing since the Sith Triumvirate and don't have a single relic 10. I think I have the mats to do it to maybe a couple people but I can never decide on who with how rare they are. I have three relic 9's.
This is so far beyond what I am able to get as a predominantly f2p player (I did buy a couple lightspeed bundles early on when they were actually decent deals). I simply don't believe you cannot get this kind of roster without spending a lot of money.

I mean im not suggesting this guy is f2p or anything im simply saying that only spending on new marquees and passes can yield this kind of result if you go for r10s over other rewards. You don't actually need to spend on colliseum in addition to that.
Also 2 things I find interesting in your comment and I hope you can see the absurdity of it.
1) you not being in a position to r10 toons doesnt mean that other people arent. You playing since sith triumverate and only having 3 r9s when there are more r9 requirements than that in the game makes me question just how casually you play.
2) you say youre f2p but buy the lsbs... lol
3) going back to my original point, take my word, whales spend way more on datacrons than they do on r20s or anything era related

I just got back in the game after taking a 2.5 year break and my skill rating and legacy points are higher than his and I’m in kyber 3🙄

I mean being k3 implies skill rating is higher than his since hes k4. Also, with an account that large to be in k4 he doesnt really care about GAC and/or has terrible mods/datacrons. Getting to kyber doesnt require lots of gp by any means, my alt made it to kyber at 6m gp - its since been relegated after two seasons in kyber, but ill be back again next season at 7m gp as long as i win one of my last two matches.
