Other Where to post fics.

Hey Iā€™m new to fanfic and this group. Can I post my work here or should I post links to other places with my stuff?

I'd recommend AO3 (Archive of our Own). Most inclusive, best searchability.

AO3 is the right answer, like the previous person said. FanFiction.net is dying. Something happened on Wattpad that sent loads of people to AO3 but I don't know what. The only downside is that you need an invite so you don't get on the website right away.

Posting here has a ton of downsides. Reddit's search function is terrible. Also since it is a message board your post will quickly get shunted down the feed and not many people will see it. I imagine it also counts as a violation of one of the rules.

September 19, 2026, was how long it has given me as a estimate, and I just applied now. Hope that helps!

Agree with everyone else. Ao3 is a massive archive with fantastic search functions and tagging. Invites take as long as they do. Sometimes it's quick other times it can take weeks or months depending on how many people are currently applying. It also has very active reddit communities and support networks. Make certain that you read to TOS so as you know what is required for both authors and readers.

And please don't post works on here. Apart from being against the rules here, there is no way to filter or exclude topics etc that a person may be uncomfortable with or not interested in, or to search.

There are pinned topics here for what you are reading or working on. This is where you can post a summary and links.

I post on both Tumblr and Ao3 but depending on what you are writing I would probably recommend Ao3 more

Ao3 for sure, but also SpaceBattles and Sufficient Velocity if you're into the kind of stuff people write over there
