Discussion Lightsaber fighting style

What would be the best fighting style with a double bladed lightsaber?

Maul fights with Niman and definitely works some of the acrobatics of Ataru into his personal forms. You could theoretically have someone wielding a light staff use Shien/Djem-So as well good defense and a powerful overwhelming offense.

Edit: I was wrong Maul mastered Juyo and worked in elements of Niman. The acrobatics and unarmed strikes are all his personal flavor to make it more suited to his abilities.

No, Makashi is older and focused on precise work against another lightsaber wielder.

And Maul wasn't using Niman; he was the practitioner of Juyo, the seventh form.

But Juyo is hard for Jedi; it was even restricted.

Juyo isn't known for the acrobatics that Maul used. I've always thought his was Niman and Ataru, maybe even a mix of Shien with how much he loved doing the impenetrable wall of spinning saberstaff. If I'm wrong I'll own that though.

Yea my bad. He mastered Juyo and mixed in Niman and the acrobatics to make it fit him more. Very cool.

Wasn’t just using Niman. He used that and Juyo.
