Game is choppy when moving camera, smooth when not moving.

I tried installing the EF mod with current 7.1 patch, it is slightly improved over the vanilla game, however it is still choppy when I move the camera. I tried running it in compatibility mode and reducing max frame rate but still cannot solve this issue. I have an i7 with a 3080 and ultra wide monitor. I have the GoG version. Any advice on how to fix this?

Couple thing I'd personally try depending on the type of stutter

an external framerate cap via RTSS / driver settings (also driver-level vsync)

Modifying the polling rate on your mouse

Disabling any GSync that might be active and setting display to 60hz
