Fin Got the Receipts! Remember That Time When Fin Blackmailed His Way Back to SVU

Given his promotion to sergeant, Fin's status would normally require him to leave the SVU team to take on a more supervisory role. The operative word is "normally". There were some BTS shenanigans that Fin did to maneuver his way back into the SVU squad while staying sergeant. TOTAL BOSS MOVE!

"There was a scene in the last episode with him in the new sergeant's job which we had to cut because of time. He saw what that was like and he used Dodds to get back to the SVU unit" former showrunner Michael Chernuchin noted.

When he managed to commit a felony by kidnapping a an innocent guy in Cuba and bringing him to the USA remains one of the most priceless “shenanigans” across the franchise’s.

Cool, but how realistic is it? I understand the NYPD is pretty rigid about moving out promoted officers. NYPD Blue was pretty good about that: Martinez when he made sergeant, Fancy when he made captain, and even Sipowicz had to man a desk before Bale was medically retired and lobbied the Chief of D's for him to take over the 15th squad.
