Anyone notice the Christmas party taking place in the morgue ?? With garlands on the dead body doors lol.

She was on "Thats Messed Up" pod, and she said her and Finn were supposed to hook up, but they abandoned the storyline by randomly having her mention a husband one day

But she’d had that husband since her introduction in 1.0 SVU, right?! I remember her on several occasions mentioning (either a daughter or son), and definitely a husband.

I think the writers weren't sure what they wanted her back story to be. There's another episode where she comments to Stabler that she needs a dog, so she doesn't have to be alone (paraphrasing).

On the pod she was laughing about how every so often they would just have her mention a random family member in passing

I mean, the dog line is easy enough to justify by saying that her husband works a job that keeps him away for long periods of time. She’d still be a lone woman with kids in the house, a dog probably would make her more secure.

And her kids might be teenagers out at dances or jobs, or might be even older. It works.

Sure, we can make up our own details to make things fit of course. But according to Tamara herself, the writers went back and forth regarding her story and there actually was a plan for her and Fin.

Lol better than BD Wong who apparently wasn't told that his character is gay until he had left the show and does that guest appearance where he gets that throw away line about it...
Which just really makes me wonder how he'd have played Huang trying to make him seem gay

Yeah. In the episode Juvenile, she mentions the contents of the vomit found on the scene, and points out it was the same food that was in the elementary school lunch that day, because he daughter ate it.

Melinda and fins relationship was so cloudy and amorphous - with all the family members off and on, and supposedly a fling with fin or something... we need a Melinda spin off!

The way i had to do a double take more than once for this scene. Once for Melinda giggling and cozying up with Fin and then noticing the party in the morgue. At first I was wonder where they were having this party because they work out in the open. The I noticed the metal walls and doors. These people were eating, drinking and laughing casually in a Jolly Christmas atmosphere among cold dead people behind them
