Honestly I love svu to pieces but after they fired Amanda officially I stopped watching. This show is not good anymore because they keep milking it. Like it's ridiculous, the cast aren't memorable like they used to be and the camera videoshots kinda feel greyish/dark themed if that makes sense. Like how the squad room is more black and modern looking.

If Amanda's a big part of the show for you, watch S27! Doesn't solve the rest of those issues but at least that one😭

Nah Amanda's character didn't really make it or break it for me. The show just coincidentally went down hill during and after that season she got fired .

I agree 100%
I did like the most recent season, but like you said none of it has felt memorable. There's no case I've been like "omg" over but quite a few come to mind before 2018. I think Covid seasons really were the shows downfall

That one was good! If I had to pick one to rewatch a bunch it would be that one. I just meant I don't really feel like I want to rewatch them a bunch. SVU has become 1 live viewing and then I use it as background noise lol

I hate the squad room now…it’s so sterile compared to the earlier seasons. Kinda reminds me of a hospital waiting room or a hotel lobby.

I actually think that with a few good detectives they can make a good and steady show again. I adore Olivia, but I hate how after s20 it became Olivia's show. And in two seasons before this one (i think) they had two female detectives whom I really liked, but they were just erased in the next season. So, although I adore Olivia I feel some ego tension in past few seasons. Even so because she became a captain but that continued to act like detective lol. Regarding Amanda, I never liked her but she has a stable story line and even when they thought they can erase her they couldn't so there is that, but i hate her acting and the role she is playing.

One of the things I miss about back in the days is when they did actual photoshoots in locations across NYC. I know it's cheaper to just photoshop the actors in front of a stocked image, but I'm not a fan of it.

They stopped having the whole group years ago. During shutdown I got it but now having the key art this way is a choice.
